How to Measure Your Ring Size

1. Using a String or Paper Strip

Wrap a piece of string or paper around the base of your finger.

With a pen mark the point where it overlaps.

Place the strip of paper on a ruler where the millimeters are clearly visible. Make sure the end of the strip is aligned with the beginning of the ruler’s scale (0mm). Then, measure the length up to the mark you made when wrapping it around your finger and compare the result with the size chart to determine your ring size. Finally, match the number from your result with the corresponding number/US or letter/UK.

2. Using an Existing Ring

Take a ring that fits well and measure its inner diameter in millimeters.

Match the measurement with the diameter column in the chart above.

3.Visit a local jeweler

Another secure way we recommend is to visit the nearest jeweler and have your ring size measured. Always keep in mind that the internal diameter is the most accurate way to determine your size. For example, if your measurement is 15.3mm (internal diameter), that number will tell you your size when correlated with the numbers on our page."

Tips:

Measure your finger at the end of the day when it is at its largest.

Avoid measuring when your hands are cold, as fingers can shrink.

If your size falls between two numbers, choose the larger one for a more comfortable fit.

STEP 1

Gather Your Materials

Gather the Necessary Materials
Before you begin, you'll need some basic supplies. Make sure you have a sturdy piece of thread or a soft measuring tape, a ruler, a pencil or marker, and, of course, your fingers. It's also a good idea to take your measurements in a well-lit environment with your hands at a comfortable temperature.

STEP 2

Wrap the Paper Around Your Finger

Wrap the thread or tape measure around the widest part of your chosen finger. Make sure the thread is snug but comfortable. Then, mark where the end of the thread joins. Using a ruler, measure the distance from the end to the mark you made. This measurement will give you the circumference of your finger.

STEP 3

Measure It Against a Ruler

Once you have your finger circumference measurement, use a ring size conversion chart to determine the corresponding size.

*In this example it gave us 52 mm, equivalent to a size 6

  • Measure at the Right Time

Your fingers tend to be slightly bigger at the end of the day, so it's best to measure them in the evening for the most accurate fit.

  • Find the Perfect Fit

Your ring should be snug enough to stay on, but loose enough to slide over your knuckle without too much struggle. If you're between sizes, go for the bigger size for a comfortable fit.

  • Double-Check with a Ring You Own

Not sure about your size? Take a ring that fits well and measure its inside diameter against our ring size chart to find your perfect match!
